As well as providing regular, up-to-date prices to the sales team from the enquiry manager and sales portal, the venue system data also powers the revamped Your Golf Travel website. The website itself was built by a third party company using a proprietary CMS, but all data for venue details and packages/offers comes from the sales database and is exposed via a web service layer that is consumed by the website.
The web service layer provides data for each venue on the venue details page, as well as search services to allow visitors to search for offers by postcode, venue name or location. It also provides further filtering of offers by price range and date.
